First things first, I’m the realest I’m back from Italy! I actually arrived yesterday... but whatever.
So I bought this Ferrari F40 at the Ferrari Store in Milan for 85€ (76€ after tax rebate). Good deal, right? By the way, I need to get a better photo setup than my iPhone and a poster board.
Here’s the engine. Very well detailed; in my opinion a work of art itself.
Hubcaps to match the timeless F40 wheel design.
Adjustable, bolstered and detailed seats.
And a suggestion from Alex B., the Hoodrari ™.
The build took me 3 hours and was very fun. I recommend this build for any Ferrari lover that's a child at heart!

If you have a white bathtub, you can use that as a background.

Let’s see here: I’m a Ferrari lover, child at heart, and my favorite car happens to be the F40. Maybe I should get one!
OH WAIT I ALREADY HAVE

But do you have RC Enzo and 1/18 LaF? I'll do all 3 in one article.

I just finished mine about 5 minutes ago. I spread it out over three days, though. I’ll be posting my own pictures soon.
It was a fun build. I love how you’ll be building along, and place a piece, like a hinge, that won’t be needed for 15 more steps and as part of different major sub-assembly. The
only
thing I’m not crazy about is the bracing pole for the engine cover. It seems like sort of an afterthought. But I love the weight of it and the detail. The flip-up headlights are da bomb. Now, on to the latest
Ferrari F1 transporter
I got for my birthday back in November....

I did make one tiny mod to the engine by adding two dark gray studs (didn’t take time to look for red ones) behind the red studs, ahead of what I presume are the air cleaners. It makes the elements line up better.

cool! any other mods?
I put a rear-view mirror. Meaning that I took a 1 X 2 piece and attached it to the roof.

Search LaLD for making your own lightbox. Philipilihp made one out of an empty Pampers box

That kit is pretty great. I’ve been thinking of either the VW van or mini as my next large kit.
